Description
Taken from the root of the plant, Turmeric has a long history of use in cuisine, particularly in Indian dishes. The oil is distilled from the rhizomes, or root offshoots, and yields a high concentration of Turmerones which is where many of the benefits come from. Turmeric has been used in Indian Ayurveda and Ancient Chinese medicine for thousands of years and is still used today to treat a variety of ailments from inflammatory problems to gut health. Turmeric is a wonderful addition to many foods as it adds an earthy classic experience to many dishes and blends well with other peppery and herbal oils.*
Uses
Diffuse for a full herbaceous aroma and combine with other peppery oils for a grounding aroma
Take internally to help promote antioxidant levels, support digestion, and gut health.
Use in cooking for a full and aromatic Turmeric experience.
Internally: Add 1-2 drops in 8 oz of water, or in empty capsule
Topically: Dilute 1-3 drops and add to area of choice
Aromatically: Diffuse 4-7 drops in diffuser
