Description

One of the largest citrus fruits, Grapefruit is bright and citrusy with a strong bitter sour taste and a beautifully pleasant aroma. The Grapefruit tree is a hybrid with unknown origins, although some believe it was introduced to the Caribbean from China by a sailor named Captain Shaddock, while others believe it was originally crossbred in Barbados. Today Florida is one of the main sources of Grapefruit and its essential oil. Prized for its ability to cleanse and purify, Grapefruit is used in both skincare to promote healthy skin and in natural cleansing products.*

Uses

Add to water for a pleasant refreshing drink and to help aid metabolism

Diffuse 4-7 drops for an energizing and motivating aroma

Add to skincare routine to support healthy skin and help reduce blemishes (Avoid sun exposure for 12 hours)

Internally: Add 1-2 drops in 8 oz of water, or in empty capsule

Topically: Dilute 1-3 drops and add to area of choice

Aromatically: Diffuse 4-7 drops in diffuser

Caution

When using topically, avoid direct sunlight for at least 12 hours, citrus oils may increase skin sensitivity to UV light. Keep out of reach of children. Possible skin sensitivity. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, always consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and other sensitive areas. Dilute for topical or internal use.
