Description
The name is derived from the Greek meaning “joy of the mountains” and is in the mint family. With spiky purple flowers, Oregano has been used in cooking and in medicinal practice for centuries. Carvacrol, one of the main constituents of Oregano, is strong and powerful with purported antioxidant properties. A classic herb in Italian dishes and pizza, Oregano oil has a strong and herbal aroma. Sometimes described as a “hot” oil, Oregano should always be used with caution and diluted before use.*
Uses
Take one drop in 4-8oz of water or capsule to support immune system
Use in place of dried or fresh Oregano herb in cooking for a strong and inviting Oregano experience
Dilute 1 drop of Oregano in 10 drops of carrier oil and place on bottom of feet to help aid immune system
Dilute 1 drop of Oregano in 20 drops of carrier oil for topical use on troubling fungal or bacterial infections (Avoid sensitive areas)
Internally: Add 1-2 drops in 8 oz of water, or in empty capsule
Topically: Dilute 1 drop and add to area of choice
Aromatically: Diffuse 4-7 drops in diffuser
